Every Monday, we take some time to discuss meditation and then we practice together.
Sessions led by Michael Hartigan, a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism and Siddha Mahayoga. A Millvale resident with 20+ years of meditation experience, Michael has taught and led meditation at the Three Rivers Tibetan Cultural Center, Shambhala Meditation Center of Pittsburgh, and as a Buddhist Prison Chaplain at Allegheny County Jail. He has worked with meditation in the context of healing trauma and physical dis-ease at the Three Rivers Free Clinic For The People.
Practice and discussion will be non-denominational and welcoming to anyone of any path, practice, or religion. Meditation is universal and everyone is honored and respected.
Millvale House is a community space focusing on healing and empowerment in the heart of Millvale, at 22 Butler Street. Parking can be found on Butler and surrounding streets. Chairs and cushions provided, or you're free to bring your own.
